Today was pretty slow, too, but I did get more payments (I work in an inbound call center handling collections. So far, 95%+ of callers have been at least civil to me, and in a lot of cases quite cordial). No irate wackos that needed supervisor participation, so thatā€™s an improvement over yesterday. Also got 100% on a call monitor. šŸ˜ƒ Iā€™m not normally squeamish, but I would have to say that using a porta-potty at a light rail station in a very dubious part of town is pretty high on my ā€œmost disgusting experiencesā€ list. It takes being VERY desperate to go near that thing, IMO. Problem is that I was today, since the alternative was an hour-plus none-too-smooth ride with a full bladder. Hit the shower as soon as I got home, the clothes I was wearing are now in the washer. I think some of the stench clung. (Whereā€™s a ā€œbarfā€ smiley when we need it?) ---

Good Morninā€™ Yā€™all! Up and caffeinatinā€™. _YAWN_ ā€˜Tis 75 Amurrkin out and foggy with a predicted high of 90 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon and eveninā€™. Todayā€™s big plans call for the assemblage of chikin sallit and laundry. Retired life is just fraught with excitatement. šŸ˜ƒ Dindin will be sammiches as I got some deli stuff at the stoā€™ yestiddy. OK thatā€™s all I got for now. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. I suppose I should purtify a bit as well. One should look presentable even ifā€™n one has no intentions of venturinā€™ out. This has been a gawd-awful long day already. We got up at 4:40 and arrived at the hospital just before 6. My sweetie was taken to pre-op about 6:30 and I was called back just before 7. We saw the doctor and the anesthesiologist and finally the same Russian nurse from the last 2 surgicals. Anyway, heā€™s in surgery now and I west to McDonaldā€™s for a quickie breakfast. I donā€™t expect to hear from the doctor for 3 hours or so. We shall see how long this battery lasts. I think I need a muffin. Iā€™ll let you know when heā€™s outā€¦ ---

I hope all goes well for FCD today and that this will be the last surgery for a while. On the one hand, Iā€™m starting to regret taking this job. On the other, the union contract is about to be voted on by the membership and it comes with some seriously sweet raises. Blurf. ---

**metal mouse** , wire ties should work. BTW, itā€™s **sunny** who is selling the house. Iā€™m just moving apartments. As soon as I shower and purtify, I will go vote (our state primaries are today. Why we donā€™t just roll them into the federal ones, I donā€™t know. ), which means that I will be voting for some school board members in a place where I wonā€™t be living after tomorrow in order to vote for two people who are also in my new district. I did something like this with the federal general election in 2004. Then itā€™s off to the new town to do the walk through of the new apartment. Packing everything left but the toothbrush and a towel will follow. ---

Happy Thorsday! Not really happy, I was up half the night again and now I feel like hell. I have to leave to get groceries soon, so nap time will have to wait. Itā€™s a sunny 74 degrees out, so it wonā€™t be so hot today. Sometime today I have to clear all these boxes out of the living room. Iā€™ve been shopping on Amazon again. I hope\*\* FCD\*\* does well today. His surgery day kind of sneaked up on me, I thought it was next week. **Rio** If I wasnā€™t afraid of molten aluminum, Iā€™d love to make some of those. ---

I have been productive. I have made chikin sallit, cleanded up the kitchen, messed around on facebook, and made a trip to the baby :eek: Wally_World :eek: for a few provisions. The thing about the baby :eek: W_W :eek: is that the self checkout there is so easy to use. Plus itā€™s easy to get to, get in and get of there from da cave. **MOOOOOOM** hope everything is goinā€™ ok with FCD. ---

**MOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM** Hereā€™s hoping **FCD** has a successful surgery and is not in any pain. Also hope it will be the last one. **Blurf** At irk but not getting much accomplished. Today must be inspection day as I had the Fire Dept at my auditorium building, the Medical folks at my Gym and then the Military Working Dogs did a drill in my building. The handlers come in and hide contraband then bring in the dog to find itā€¦ Her name was Doly and she did good. Of course, with Lucky Louie in my office they skipped that room even though I offered to take him outside if they needed to use my room. I am out of here at 1500 today and still have comp time for the pay period. So, I foresee a short day tomorrow too. I would take the entire day but tomorrow is payroll day and my folks like to get paid. ---

Finally talked to the doctor a few minutes ago. All went well and he didnā€™t have to cut as big an incision. With luck,I should get to see him in a couple of hours. Meanwhile, I may go get lunch. ---
