Still waiting for solid evidence that this is “a Russian shell company”.

Not maybe, not could be, not possibly, not who knows? _Is._ Period, full stop.

It was indeed a Russian company, yes? They moved the registration to BVI did they not?

What are you babbling about? It was registered in Russia( _The app, which was initially registered in Russia_) (_the former Moscow address of the founder of the company)_ it had offices in Russia (_We are a BVI company. Our app is being developed by an international team with development offices in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus._) it _is_ now registered in BVI.

IS in BVI. What is your point?

> The fallacy of accident (also called destroying the exception or a dicto simpliciter ad dictum secundum quid) is an informal fallacy and a deductively valid but unsound argument occurring in a statistical syllogism (an argument based on a generalization) when an exception to a rule of thumb is ignored. It is one of the thirteen fallacies originally identified by Aristotle in Sophistical Refutations. The fallacy occurs when one attempts to apply a general rule to an irrelevant situation.

Wait… so an app for Facebook that sucks up all your personal information and sends it to Russia is bad, but Facebook, which sucks up all your personal information so Zuckerburg can sell it whoever he wants, is OK?
Just checking…

Well, not a fan of Zuckerburg, but he hasn’t invaded Ukraine or committed Crimes against Humanity recently. Nor does he operate a Russian bot false information farm.
