# Dope Fest San Francisco Bay Area! (May/June 2023)

No arguments here. There are some good places on Clement St. between 7th and 8th Aves. The question then becomes, where do we eat? Or, do any of you know of a good dim sum place where we can have a sit down meal?
Further, is it quiet? That’s one of my preferences, is a place that’s quiet so that we don’t have to yell to be heard.

When we had Christmas at our house we used to go to Yank Sing on Spear Street, not far from the Ferry Building. Excellent, but you need a reservation and it is a bit pricey. (Well, more than a bit pricey.)

In terms of _When will we Dopers fest?_, from the replies so far it looks like we have the following possibilities:
🟢 Fri 09 Jun, evening, might be an ideal time
🟢 Mon 12 Jun, evening, might be an ideal time
If folks wanted weekends instead (although some said no to weekends), here’s what we’re looking at:
🟡 Sat 10 Jun or Sun 11 Jun might work for many
🟡 Sat 17 Jun or Sun 18 Jun might work for many
🟡 Sat 24 Jun or Sun 25 Jun might work for many
What say ye? If you can copy and paste from the bullets\* that would be helpful.
As for me for weekends, I’m generally not available on Sunday mornings.

Both okay, but I prefer Monday - less crowded. Also depends on where it is.

If it’s _evening_ for Jun 10/11, say after 6pm, that would work for me as my activity is due to be done by 5pm in the Mission district. In fact, we are quite likely be repairing to the [Southern Pacific Brewing Co.](https://www.southernpacificbrewing.com/) afterward.

If there’s even a chance of that, it would be good if the venue has good access to public transportation (Bart for preference)

Near BART is wise, and is developing a consensus. Let’s look for a good place near a BART station.
I’ll be driving, so 1 drink limit for me. OK maybe 2. No drunken debauchery from me, but for those who’d like that knock yourselves out!
