# Dopefest At Persephone's House--The Party In Progress!!

Hi everyone! The Dopefest is happenin’ here at my house. Here’s the list of folks who are here so far:
xploder, his wife, & his oldest daughter
pipefitter
Milossarian
Shadowfox & her son Alex
Me (Persephone) and my family (there’s too many to list)
We’re still expecting a few more, any time now! The Dopers here will be posting off & on, to tell you how things are going, and if we’re lucky, we’ll get a few drunken ramblings as well! We’ll be keeping an eye on the Boards for any suggestions for fun stuff to do, but if you have any suggestions, keep in mind there are children present. Save the risque stuff for after 10 pm, 'mkay?

This is Shirley, checking in and helping to pad Cristi’s post count.
xploder is grilling up three kinds of flesh on the grill ( chicken, ribs, burgers and weeners).
Everyone is really nice and we are discussing our favorite threads of late.
So far, everyone just about pissed their proverbial pants over Goat Porn and somebody’s thread about a gas attack ( that I haven’t read yet)

Man, these people are nice! I can’t believe they drove to my house for this!

You know, I love living in the Pacific NW.
Usually.
However, it seems like doperfests are happening all over the country, except for here.
Sigh.
So, as once again I couldn’t make it to the party, someone please have a club soda for me? With lime.

Just put BabyGuy to bed. He’s been busy all afternoon, charming the socks off the ladies in attendance. The gentlemen are playing (too loud) in the backyard. They sound good, really! You guys can probably hear them.

I didn’t think I could remember my password (no, not the drinking… my limit is one beer since I have to get home tonight) but I’m so used to my computers recognizing me, I haven’t had to login in a hen’s age. But I figgered it out.
Mosquitoes are chomping away. Milossarian has been doing some mild whimpering about that, prompting a heated debate over whether the fact that there aren’t mosquitoes in BFE (where he is from) makes him a wuss-boy, or makes him a lucky bastard. WAIT! Is this a making of a Great Debate?!?!?

It’s me again. I remembered my password, so now I’m posting under my own name. The guys were outside jamming, but some of the neighbors threatened to call the authorities, so they packed it up. I’m not drinking tonight because I have a two hour drive home tonight, plus the fact that I have one of my kids with me.
Anyway, just telling you all that the clothes are still on and nobody has puked on themselves yet, but we are working on it.

For the record, I would like to say I do not feel I was **whining** about mosquitos.
I was merely noting that we have had a cool, dry summer Up North with few bugs, and I wasn’t fully prepared for the bad-assed, chip-on-their-shoulder Flint mosquitos.
I hate to disappoint ChiefScott, but we don’t have any whiskey for a boilermaker.
Does it count if I drink a lot of beer and visit Purdue’s web site?

I didn’t hear Milo complaining about the bugs. I swear I didn’t. But the mosquitoes here do have attitudes!
Cranky, Shirley, and Brynda have just left. Truly excellent people, all of them! I want them to come back someday. This is so great.
Now the guys have pulled out their acoustics, and they’re jamming in the living room. Woohoo!
