I suppose this should go on MPSIMS, since dopefest announcements go there too, but it is a poll. This idea just came to me about, oh, 3 minutes ago. Perhaps it’s been done before. What would you all think about a homepage for dopefests? This would be one that wouldn’t steal any of the thunder from MPSIMS’s threads, but merely announce their precence and crucial information about them. With the 2nd page turnover rate for MPSIMS threads, it’s a wonder the pertinent people see a dopefest announcement. Then, with threads that get to be 5 pages in length, it’s just as difficult to find the concrete information of When, Where, What, Who, Why, How, etc. So someone (and, alas, not me because I have no computer coding skills), might want to take it upon him, her, or theirselves to create a page where all dopers could look and find what dopefests are occuring where in which areas. What do you think of the idea? ---

It would also go well with the People pages, since they have dopefest pictures there already. ---

I’m all for it. I’d also appreciate a hyperlink somewhere on the **SDMB** so I could go there from here; as well as the people pages. I’ve been a member now for about three months and I’m just now finding out about the people pages. I still don’t know the address. I’m also eagerly awaiting a **DALLAS** dopefest.
