**Qadgop the Mercotan** is, of course, the greatest of our little Tolkien tribe, so he’s in, as are **What Exit?** , **well, he’s back** , \*\*Terrifel \*\*(mostly for the awesomeness of his snark), **Elendil’s Heir** , and **Malacandra**. Also **eleanorigby** ; I have decided to forgive her her love of a certain movie trilogy.
I have spent many a moon perfecting a device to sap all of Sampiro’s story-telling prowess, so obviously him.
**Silver Tyger Girl** , both because of her love of the 'Cats and because she will beat me with a stick if I leave her out.
**WhyNot** , though a small part of me fears letting Mrs. Rhymer meet her lest she get ideas.
There are a few of you whose knowledge of guns, elementary particles, and classical myth I covet, but I can’t think of the names.
\*\*carniverous plant \*\*and \*\*Bosca \*\*. Tuckerfan and **Autolycus**.
I’m sure I have forgotten many persons, so I won’t criticize Jim for omitting me on his first run-through.
Let’s say anyone who points out when I go overboard in the Pit.

You couldn’t think of anything, huh? (ooor… you’re trying to collect on a bet :eek:)
I can’t think of many dopers whose aquaintance I _wouldn’t_ want to meet (via PM or AIM or whatever, don’t show up at my bedroom window in the middle of the night plz!), but the tops on my list for actually sitting down and having an alcoholic beverage of my choice with are \*\*Agent Foxtrot, Alan Smithee, SixSwords, WhyNot, olives, Idle Thoughts \*\*(finally) and **Shodan**.
Each of you for very different reasons\*.
\*except maybe for WhyNot and olives, who I’m both tapping for a pseudo-lesbian lovefest.

Wow! This thread has done better than I could have hoped for. Not to mention, my name is even on someone’s list! Just another reason I adore **What Exit?** so much. And if anyone else is even remotely interested in getting to know me, both the PM feature and my email is available in my profile.
As to other Dopers I’d like to get to know, I’d need to add **mhendo** , **glee** and **Dante**.

To get back to the OP – most of the Dopers I would like to chat with over PM or e-mail I have managed to gather the courage to speak to. Some I’ve kind of fallen out of touch with and would like to talk to again, but it’s OK… And I’m not mentioning them below, since the OP asked about those I **haven’t** reached out to. You know who you are 🙂
Dopers I’ve never been in private contact with and I’d like to include: All those **MMP** ’ers I _haven’t_ reached off-board, **What Exit?** , **Sleeps With Butterflies** , **Silver Tyger Girl** , **Skald** , **Maastricht** , **Sampiro** , **Nzinga Seated** … and I’m sure quite a few I’m forgetting OTTOMH, sorry!

By the way, have you checked your PMs? After reading this thread, I was sitting here at work, bemoaning my lack of doper acqaintances when I looked at my PMs and realized that I’d been PM’ed several times - last year - and didn’t realize it.

I like how you list pub crawl twice. Though I’d be afraid to try with you, I’ve done my fair share of pub crawling with the Irish before, I can’t keep up.

But anyone could be as good a parent as me - all they have to do is try, fail repeatedly, and then try again! 😛 Seriously, I’m pretty convinced that sincere, well-intentioned floundering around is pretty much the best any of us can strive for - and is pretty much synonymous with successful parenting.
I was just thinking how it NEVER STOPS! You never master it, even when the kids are grown. Just the other day my wife and I were discussing that my daughter seems to be getting REALLY tight with her BF - like future SIL tight. Now how the FUCK do we process and deal with THAT! :eek:

**AHunter3**. His posts are well written and reasoned, and he’s said a lot of stuff about sexual abuse and rape that’s really resonated with me. He seems like the sort of fellow you could talk to, just in general, and even when I disagree with what he says, he says it very well.

And i’m REALLY surprised to find out that I’m the one named in here. I (still) don’t think I’m that “big” among the Dopers, and I consider myself a terribly shy but VERY approachable person.
So the thought that someone felt that same way, but about ME was really wierd. O\_o
That said- i’d love to get to know you (PM sent) and Any other Dopers that wish to say hello. I really am an approachable guy- don’t be shy of ME! That said though, thanks for the unexpected smile that you’ve brought to my face. 😃

I loved seeing you in the book threads, as well as **Dung Beetle** , **gulo gulo** , **koeeoaddi** , **twickster** , **delphica** , and **Eleanor of Aquitaine** , but since we’ve already PM’d (and traded books) this is just a shout out and a thank you for being such good people.
I’d love to sit down and watch _The Wire_ and _Mad Men_ with **5-4 Fighting** and **Rubystreak** , **Exapno Mapcase** , **ascenray** and a bunch I’m forgetting – **everybody** in those threads had great comments and really appreciated those shows.
And I’d really like to sit down and have a beer with **SnakesCatLady** and **3Acres And A Truck** (I’ve made you a couple in my head – I think you’d hit it off) and **Phlosphr** , who puts his money/time where his mouth is.
And **Harriett the Spry** , who has absolutely the best advice for anything work-related, and just a whole lot of common sense besides. And **DangerMom** and **Manda Jo** and **picunurse** , and … and …
