Actually, that is kinda similar to me- I’ve always wanted to know people overseas- so like British or Irish or Scottish or such Dopers that probably like to talk, as I’m much more of a listener. I just wonder if I’d like life in the UK.
Or Australia. I figured if I didn’t live in the US, I’d probably live in Canada, the UK or Australia, but I have no idea why or how or what i’d do… :Shrug:
Oooh, and bonus points if they’re single wimmin folks too! Or if they happen to practice Medicine over seas in those areas, but that’s more of an informational gathering sorta thing… But i’d be friendly about it!

Also, while I didn’t mention you by name, I **did** say “All the MMP’ers” (that I haven’t been in direct contact with, yet) – So you should count yourself as having been included (which brings up the question of where you’ve been, lately, huh?)

Thank you plus **WormTheRed** and **Autolycus** for mentioning me. But with my recent shoulder surgery, I’m afraid my elephant-polo days may be up for a while. Especially since I seem to have re-injured it a little on Friday night on a bus here in Bangkok, trying to close a window that was stuck open. Grrr. ☹ But [here](http://goldentriangle.anantara.com/Elephant-Camp/default.aspx) is some info on the Anantara Golden Triangle Resort and Spa’s elephant camp. They’re the main sponsors of the annual tournament. I don’t see it mentioned on the website, but they recently came out with two-hour elephant-polo practice sessions. Not cheap at the equivalent of US$114 for the set-up charge plus $457 for two elephants or $914 for four. Believe me, there are _much_ cheaper elephant camps in Thailand – say, $50 or so for three-hour treks – but very few that will let you play polo. And I can at least vouch for how well the Anantara treats their elephants. Stayed there and at the one in Hua Hin for the tournaments, and they’re friggin’ great resorts.
I never ever know who to mention in threads like these.
Oh, and [this](http://www.anantara.com/elephantcam/default.aspx) is supposed to be their elephant webcam, but I can never make it work. We have a crappy Internet service, though.

**Twickster** , **Nzinga, Seated** , **Lil Pluck** , **elucidator** , **Small Hen** (Supernatural Marathon!!!), **Kimstu** , **TVeblen** , **Annie-Xmas** , **Shayna** , **EJs Girl** , **Cluricaun** , **Jodi** , **Misnomer** , and **Zsofia** all stand out in my mind as being people I’ve thought I’d enjoy hanging out with. And I’d like to take this opportunity to declare my undying love for **Giraffe**.

Technically **cmyk** can’t be on my list, because we actually know one another. I will say, to those who haven’t met him, that you ought to be extremely jealous of me and the other Michidopers who have. Seriously one of the coolest people I know. Very sweet, intelligent, and funny. You should also be jealous that I know **LOUNE** , that crazy bastard, and **Queen Tonya** who is the best hostess ever. (I’m a bad person for leaving Michigan, and feel nothing but shame.)
As for others… I must meet **ppbth** for her wonderful self-image and delightful positive silliness.
I never dreamed in my life that I would have the honor of meeting **twickster** , but she’s going to show me around Philly soon! I’m equal parts delighted and intimidated.
Some day I will have to drop by Japan to meet **TokyoPlayer**. He experiences his emotions in such a pure way, and expresses them with such eloquence and passion.
**Ivylass** is totally the most supportive and strong and wonderful Doper ever, and I really want to meet her.
I’m curious about **Starving Artist**. We may not see eye to eye on all things but he seems like a very interesting person to talk to.
I want to meet **Skald the Rhymer** and **Omegaman**.
My gosh, I just love all of you. I know I could come up with a hundred more names given a little more time. **A Priori Tea** , **Chimera** , **OtakuLoki** , **tdn** , **Nzinga Seated** , **Sampiro** … you get the point, right? Dopers rock.
