Big mistake, McG. I tried to tell ya. **Dave** , I think **JC** thought **Abe** was feeling dumb for leaving Marseilles open for France to keep, and was reassuring him that he’d take it in 1905 because France has no builds. That’s what it looked like to me, anyway. My winter adjustments are in. ---

I hesitate to bring this up, folks… But… The Diplomacy Worldmasters 2002 tournament is taking registrations through November 25, 2002. [http://www.cat23.com/wm02/](http://www.cat23.com/wm02/) I have already signed up a team of Cat23 veterans as ‘Wooley’s Mammoths’ Boo-YA! But if you’re interested I think you can probably get enough SDMB folks together to get a team together. You can battle those nasty Germans and Brazilians. Or even those dreaded Japanese. So who’s got the cojones for it? Who knows? You might face my team in the first round. Wouldn’t that be fun? ---

I am feeling extremely dumb, because, regardless of whether France builds or not, _I_ should have a build this winter, dammit! Surely you all agree that I deserve it?? I would be interested in some Diplomacy Tournament. How does the ‘teams’ thing work? Is there a website somewhere that explains it? ---

Bear in mind, one of you guys is going to have to set it up. I have my own Cat23 team to manage and I don’t think it’s kosher that I’m part of two teams in the tournament. Though maybe some of you will end up in a game I GM. Wouldn’t that be nice? ---

I just want you to know that I dreamed about Dip last night. In fact, everything in my dream involved Diplomacy and then submitting orders. It was very stressful. Sort of like my wife would tell me, “Sorry, but your move to do the laundry _bounced_, and your move to go out to see Monday Night Football at the pub was _cut_ by my move to have you read to the kids…” Bastards! ---

Votes are due at 9pm EDT; results will be announced then, or earlier if the vote is conclusive before then. If the remaining players vote unanimously (6-0) for an Austrian win, the game ends tonight; otherwise, moves will be due in the morning. So keep Dipping. ---
