I’d say pop off a letter to **WL** then, and let’s get this baby going. he may need someone to replace him in Dip Mini-me also, which I am GMing. He hasn’t bowed out yet, though. ---

No vanity search, but **Abe Babe** emailed me. I’m not taking over France in Mini-Me, since I’ve played France fairly often lately. But Abe says you need a replacement Russia in 1099, and I’m interested. But from the thread, it looks like it’s an Italy you need, not a Russia. So which is it? And where are we in the game? I’ve seen the Spring 1903 map (after moves, before retreats). Have retreat orders been adjudicated, filed, or what? I’ve just been stabbed and have no future in my WM game, so I’m looking for another game right now. ---

well **wierd** offered before i did - so i don’t mind conceding to his seniority. if a replacement for France is needed in Mini-me though at some point then i wouldn’t mind first dibs on that. ---

I’m not sure about France in Mini-Me. In a letter to us, **WL** mentioned that he _might_ need to drop out due to time constraints. I wanted to try to get some interest just in case. Hope I didn’t step on any toes there. And it isn’t Russia that’s dropping out in 1099? Huh. ---

yeah - that last post of mine wasn’t worded properly i was aiming to say that **wierddave** offered first therefore should play here. The last part was meant to be an: “IF the the scenario happens where WL does drop out THEN…” not a: “you’ve said a new france is needed so i’d rather have that” the joys of the english language 🙂 ---

So as it stands we have 3 volunteers to take over Italy, Italy of all powers, yet our game remains grounded. It’s time to shoot luke or give up the gat. ---

What is the freaking deal? Do we have to send out engraved invitations? We’ve got people falling all over themselves to take Italy no less, but we still can’t get this game up and running. Should we just consider it abandoned and go looking for another game? If so, that’s fine, I just need to know. ---

Thats kinda what i was thinking. At the very least i’ll come out of this knowing two ways **not** to play Italy 🙂 I’ll just have to be careful not to confuse **Abe** - since he’s turkey in this one and France in Fascination. ---
