I did that too once on a special request - more freakin hassle than it was worth. You don’t like it boys, no-one’s forcing you to go there :). ---

If you use a pillow to prop up a hand mirror and sit somewhere with good back support so you can tilt your pelvis back slightly while bringing your feet toward your butt, that can give you a reasonable view and keep both hands free for working on the problem. For light, lay a flashlight along your inner thigh and point it toward the mirror–the light will bounce back so you can see. You might need a small towell or something to help position the light. Or you can try to position the light on the pillow or thereabouts so it’s shining toward you. It takes some flexibility and adjusting to get the angles all working right, of course. But it’s amazing what’s possible when you’re motivated. Oh, and if you’re sitting on something you care about, make sure you put down an old towel first. ---

To successfully check out your crotch, I recommend taking one of those lighted makeup mirrors and placing it on the floor, then straddling it. ---

Even better, you can occasionally find two-sided cosmetic mirrors mounted on a little bracket; as long as you’re not working on a carpeted surface, they’re very easy to position. They’re plastic-framed, and pretty cheap. ---

WOOHOO! After many days of hot baths, neosporin, warm compresses, and prayer I am finally ingrown hair free. I have put another dab of neosporin on there just to make sure that the site doesn’t get infected after my at home gynecological experimentation and I will double check in the morning to make sure that it is actually gone (knowing my luck I will think I took care of it and then tomorrow it will be so inflamed I won’t be able to lower my right leg) but as far as I can tell my vagina is back to normal. Huzzah for normal vaginas! ---

I would like to share the trick I use to avoid or soothe ingrown hairs - Sudocrem. Not sure if there is a US equivalent, this is the stuff: [http://www.sudocrem.co.uk/](http://www.sudocrem.co.uk/) I apply it straight after returning from the waxing salon, and for a day or so afterwards, and it works a treat. It’s just nappy rash cream. I also put it on bites, heat rash, spots, everything…reminds me of the the guy from My Big Fat Greek Wedding who puts Windex on everything 🙂 ---
