I dunno…perhaps the Googlebot follows link and catalogs that particular website much more deeply than Altavista and Yahoo does. I’m not sure why you find it so unusual. There’s hits for my name I get on Google that don’t show up on other search engines, either. They obviously have slightly different ways of cataloging the internet.
