I LOVE these threads. I read 'em with my road atlas in my lap. “Wow! **SilverFire** lives halfway in between Minneapolis and Duluth! Right near something cryptically labelled _N.W. Co. Fur Post St. Hist. Site!_” “Neat! **Tymp** can go into Hartford _anytime he wants,_ to…uh…buy insurance!” "Ooooh! When **ricepad** wants a good time, do you suppose he drives west to San Francisco, north to Sacramento, or south to Modesto? “Why the hell do so many of us live in Virginia?” Oh, yeah. I work in midtown Manhattan. And I live in **Brooklyn,** da capital of da univoise. ---

Ike raised the great question of the thread - Why so many Virginians? An unquenchable thirst for knowledge? An incomplete education? Nothing better to do? To paraphrase the Tootsie Pop commercial: “The world may never know.” I’m working on plotting all these places out on a map to see if any patterns develop (boy, talk about having nothing better to do), I’ll keep the teeming millions informed of any breakthroughs. Additionally, I’ve noticed that the ratio of responses to viewings is a bit lopsided. There are quite a few of you out there who aren’t sharing. You people aren’t ashamed of where you live are you? Have a little civic pride! Tell the world “Hey, I’m from Felch, Michigan and proud of it!” ---
