Everyone who goes to a nudist/naturist park or beach is presumed to be comfortable enough to bare all in a casual setting, where there is a defining mutual agreement that it’s OK to be nude. On the other hand, many or most of those people might be uncomfortable meeting their other friends, or relations, or colleagues under those circumstances. Some of that is because a naturist often assumes that he or she is the daring one of his or her circle of acquaintance, and they want to avoid shocking their friends and relations, whom they expect will disapprove. Outside a setting where nudity is permitted by agreement, few if any naturists would be comfortable shedding their clothes. You could have four friends who met each other at a nude beach and go there regularly, but they’re not about to walk naked down the Third Street Promenade, even if they agree among themselves that being nude is fine. So to respond to your scenario, no, I would not be one to do that, assuming a typical Doper get-together in a restaurant or bar. But if somebody wanted to have a nude Dopefest, I’m sure there are many who’d be willing to participate, on the same principle by which they’ve been posting in this thread. I, for one, would. ---

If it seemed that everyone was comfortable and the venue was appropriate, I’d have no problem joining a nude Dopefest or an after-party hottubbing adventure with Dopers, but I wouldn’t (haven’t) shed more than my cardigan at an actual restaurant based Dopefest. ---

All right, I’m taking a page from pbbth’s playbook. I’ll send a pic if you PM me, and I approve you. I don’t mind people seeing me naked but I do care that it’s irrevokable. If this were to happen at a Dopefest, I’d join in, no question. Hell, I’d even suggest the idea. Simply because I can put my clothes back on at any time. BTW, I’m male, in case you didn’t know. Make sure you tell me your sex too. ---

If someone were to throw a nude Dopefest within reasonably driving distance of where I live, I’d happily attend. I’d normally be reluctant to get naked in a public space not so much because of modesty as not wanting to inflict my nudity on people who aren’t comfortable with public nudity. Outside of a venue where nudity is expected and accepted, it would be a bit rude of me to walk around with everything dangling out. At a venue where it’s accepted, nude beach or other nudist gathering, it’s all fine. ---

I spoke with my husband, and he agreed that as long as my intention was not to titillate then he was ok. And that’s really not. My body has changed remarkably through my pregnancy with my son, and now a subsequent pregnancy less than 5 months later. I’ve been somewhat dismayed at the changes and a little depressed.
