It was a gray crappy morning today as I dragged myself out of bed and went to the post office to mail my Secret Santa. I received **Eleanor of Aquitaine’s** ornament today. Holy crap, it’s beautiful. I can’t do it justice in words. I’ll take a picture of it tonight and post it…it’s absolutely gorgeous. Hand-made by her grandmother, I guess, and she made thousands more during her life. I love it, **Eleanor** , thank you. Just a note - mine will be in the mail today. ---

I received my ornament from **gigi** today! Thanks for the cheerful stained glass snowman, gigi! He now resides on my south-facing living room window, waiting to catch some rays as soon as this current bout of rainstorms pass through. I love the card you sent too. It features a print of an elaborate paper cutting (scherenschnitte) in Pennsylvania Dutch style with hearts and flowers and birds (distelfinks) by [Marilyn R. Diener.](http://www.rbcrafts.org/members/paper/diener/item01.htm) This picture is not the same design as I got but will give folks an idea of what I’m talking about. I’d provide photos of both the card and the snowman if I could. Anyway thanks again, gigi, and thanks to **Mama Zappa** too, for starting up the ornament exchange this year! I gots an ornament!!! Yay me!! and yay Anaamika!!! It’s a pretty thing made of glass faceted beads, sort of amber in color. Reminds me of an antique chandelier - once we get our main computer up and running I’ll try to post a photo. I’m glad I got my outbound ornament sent off yesterday so I could open up my own inbound one right away 🙂 ---
