# Doper Poll: Moccasins

Used to wear mocs all the time, but since I moved east resupply has been a problem. I do not wear the fake moc/slipper as a shoe, but had several pairs of real mocs I got inc. one knee high Navajo pair with concho closures, a white doeskin Apache pair and an ankle high trading post pair. Alas, the white doeskin pair is no more, and the other two pairs are on the road to terminal.

Duck Duck Goose – you can make your own. That’s what I do. LLBean does make a nice moc like slipper though.

DDGoose: If you’re willing to pay $30 for them, check out  
Minnetonka’s web site: [minnetonkamocc.com](http://minnetonkamocc.com) (sorry, I don’t know how to put a URL in a post). I’ve got a pair of Minnetonka’s and they are excellent quality, and if you have a foot problem, I think the $30 is worth it.

Actually $30 for a pair of moccasins doesn’t seem that steep if they lasted. I might get a pair for next summer. Certainly not “blue and pink bedroom moccasins with fluffy white stuff around the top”.

I love my Moccassins I haven’t noticed people wearing them around though. Mine are a lovely black pair with black fur around the top and beaded. I love to wear them but I lose them (in the house) lots. Plus I never thought of wearing them outside beyond just up the street for the paper. Maybe I should wear them more. My feet are hard to buy for too. I have a wide foot size 10 that has a high arch.

I should probably get another pair if I decide to wear them outside cuz my house ones are getting older and slightly ragged though still very good.
