It seems to me like when things happen to the message board (things go wrong with computers /systems/websites. it’s a fact of modern life) a lot of people jump down the throats of the other people who are paid nothing to sort out their bile. Why can’t it be the case that - If things are not as they seem - we assume the powers that be are doing whatever they can to resolve the problem - and leave them to it. I expect the vast majority of Dopers are polite and understanding and it’s only the unsilent minority that are doing this. ---

I posted in the other Pit thread about this because I am fed up with the problem. The loss of our ability to search, supposedly a perk because we are paying customers, was the final straw. We have been patient. This latest issue has finally pushed some of us over the edge. ---

[/QUOTE] The Tech God doesn’t post other that tech updates, TubaDiva doesn’t do the Pit anymore and Ed is rarely around. How about giving a link to people jumping down the throats of unpaid staff during this recent epriod of service problems. I’ve read most of the threads about it and can’t remember seeing examples of this. Lots of people complaining about the service but not what you’re talking about. ---

[/quote] Maybe because we’ve been promised that in the past-and it never happens. This is the only message board I’ve paid for-and it’s the only one that gives me shit like this. First we were told going pay would help board performance-then we were told it was only to keep the board going at all. And I believe at one time, it was mentioned that **Tuba** and some of the others DO get a small stipend. Sorry, no site, I can’t _search_ for it, can I? ---

The administration is doing all they can, and it’s about time that you show some fucking respect and empathy. Just because you pay your $15 doesn’t mean you get to complain, ever. Don’t even fucking think about it, m’kay? If your precious messageboard’s down, then you should be fucking doing something else, got it, nerd?
