I usually wear a sleep-shirt in summer. I don’t like the a/c to chill my shoulders. In the winter, either a sleep-shirt or pajamas depending on the temperature. Panties completely optional either way. I _can_ sleep naked, but I usually sleep better with my shoulders covered. ---

When I’m with my boyfriend it seems completely natural to sleep naked, but when I’m alone it seems completely natural to sleep in a t-shirt and undies. I haven’t noticed any difference in my sleep quality when I’m clothed vs unclothed. But now the OP has me wondering if I’m eventually going to start sleeping in the buff when I’m by myself. 😃 (More likely, eventually I’ll sleep better when I’m with my boyfriend – naked or not.) ---

I usually sleep in as little as possible these days; however, if I’m a guest at someone’s house, I usually at least try to muster up the fortitude to withstand sleeping in a tank top and PJ pants. ---

Naked. When it’s really, really cold out, naked except for fuzzy socks. Obviously, if we have guests, or if I’m a guest, I’ll wear a nightshirt. When I have my period, I wear undies to bed. Hubby is away from home during the week, and sleeps in his briefs. At home, naked. ---

(And it’s taken me a little while, and some extra concentration, to get through this post, too.) Re the original question, I sleep in a full suit of plate mail. ---

Nekkid, even when discretion dictates that I don sleeping attire. My unconscious self rebels and I wake up bare, and embarrassed, anyhow. This thread made me remember an old Girl Scout song, and now it’s stuck in my head: _to the tune of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”_ I wear my pink pajamas in the summer when it’s hot. I wear my flannel nightie in the winter when it’s not. And sometimes in the springtime and sometimes in the fall, I jump between the covers with nothin’ on at all. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, what’s it to ya? Balmy breezes running through ya, With nothin’ on at all. ---

What, pray tell, am I rebelling against, sleeping in my own bed in my own house without any clothes, with nobody knowing about it? That’s the weirdest hypothesis I’ve ever heard. When I’m sleeping with my boyfriend, we sleep nude because it makes for more spontaneous middle of the night or morning sexfoolery. When I’m alone I just find it’s more comfortable. When I roll around wearing clothes, they don’t exactly move with my body and they end up twisting or binding or bunching and it’s UNCOMFORTABLE. No freakin’ “rebelliousness” just COMFORT. ---

I’m uncomfortable sleeping naked and I don’t much like night gowns. For me it’s pajamas with long or capri lentgh bottoms. I’m just not comfortable sleeping naked. I’m not exactly sure why. Probably some buried childhood trauma. My husband sleeps in boxers and a T-shirt. My daughter (20 yo) sleeps nude. Has since she was a young teenager. I’ve never understood it but she seems happy. ---

I would indeed tend to think that the idea that unclothed is more comfortable has more to do with psychology than anything else. Not being able to disect other people’s brains though, I’ve no way to verify that. But logically speaking, given as it’s proven that it’s _possible_ to sleep with equal comfort with clothes onor off, then pretty much unless you could suspend the person in some sort of gell or something, there shouldn’t be a lot of difference between clothes and sheets. Either can get tangled up and bunched. Anything left is some sort of desire to feel free. And ain’t nothing wrong with that. Just as a sort of elimination process, that’s what seems most likely. Just like I said, for me, being able to get up and out of the bedroom is a bigger concern than whether I can slide a pair of panties off of whoever is with me. One is potentially life-threatening, while as the other is something that is just fine to be taken slow. ---

Naked. Always. If I go to bed with clothes on, I’ll be uncomfortable and have trouble sleeping; if I do fall asleep with clothes on, I will have removed them by morning, without even waking up. As the bathroom is mere steps from my bedroom, I sleep naked even if I have (non-imtimate) guests over, and do a quick dash when necessary. If I’m a guest at someone’s house (in non-intimate circumstances), and I go to sleep with clothes on, I will be uncomfortable and will still probably crawl out of them in the night, so I sleep naked there too and keep my clothes handy for late-night bathroom trips. If I’m a guest at someone’s house (in non-intimate circumstances) and am sharing a room with someone, I will crawl into bed/sleeping bag, remove my clothes and keep them handy for when I get up in the morning.
