**Featherlou** is a woman, a good observator, Canadien or French, quite modest, and a synesthete. **SHAKES** & \*\*Dan the Man \*\* are the two dopers that come to mind when I think of 100% guy-guys. Not a hint of androgyny there. They are probably proud of it, too. :wally **Elmwood** would like to better his flirting skills, has gorgeous dogs and a dazzling white smile. **Sunspace** has incredible blue eyes, loves self-deprecatory humour, is an eligible bachelor, makes the most out of living in Canada and is into high-tech, yet environmentally friendly stuff like solar power and Smart-cars. \*\*Monstro \*\* is an intelligent young black woman, single, a student, who got an award for her intrigueing, self-drawn homepage. **Lsura** , **Lamia** , and **Siege** always have a thoughtful, mild and and helpful quality to their posts. My fellow Dutch Dopers are **Swannguy** (although he lives in the USA, he probably speaks English with an Limburgs accent) \*\*gouda \*\* who I think lives in India, **PookahMacPhellimey** ; \*\*gum \*\* and **Tusculan/TTT** , and **Coldfire** of course. ---

I guess I could give a brief update about myself. June 2002: got married. June 2003: found out I had cancer (mixoid-type liposarcoma) and spent about a month in the hospital having a tumor in my knee removed. June 2004: no signs of new growth, and came out as one of the healthiest people in my office following the annual health checks. ---

It’s amazing, you know… some of my files are incredibly detailed, while others are, well…less so. **Daftbugger** - She was born in July of '78. Went to school in Wolverhampton. Has travelled in India. Has a fairly large bust. Wears corsets. Has a pet rat. Can make her jaw clunk. **TellMeI’mNotCrazy** -She just went to London on the 11th of July. Her mom is Thai. Uses Ultra Secret anti-perspirant. Mouth noises driver her batty. **zoogirl** is a…girl. Who…works in a zoo. And lives in Canada. She doesn’t talk about herself much… Oh, one more: **FaerieBeth** is gorgeous, but if you flirt with her, her husband **Stonebow** will threaten to go medeival on your ass. Literally. They’re like, medeival times people. She also wears corsets. Sometimes Stonebow does, too (in the name of scientific research only, of course. 😉 ). ---

I was actually looking at the Oklahoma line I wrote, and thinking… “Well, which Dopers do I know cities for?” And running through that list, I hit FilmGeek as Lawrence, KS - which caused immediate cognitive dissonance. “Kansas? Didn’t I just say Oklahoma?” then “D’oh!” I have a very good memory - it can exploit the tiniest connections to jog out the most surprising information… I constantly surprise people by being able to identify large amounts of information about movies I’ve never seen. The one thing that trips it up is similar items - similar things confuse it sometimes. I used to confuse Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck back in the early 80’s - it was the mustaches, you see. Beyond that, if I notice something, it gets stored in the memory almost certainly. ---

If it weren’t for your name being on the post, I’d swear I’d written this. I’m pretty cinematically challenged, having not seen a lot of the movies that “everybody” has seen, but I can tell you all kinds of odd details about them anyway. I also, despite being a huge fan of John Williams and all his works, will often have difficulty identifying the Superman theme distinctly from the opening Star Wars theme - even though I’ve heard both many times. What’s really fun about the ability is that it allows me to function and contribute in conversations about subjects I’ve never paid much attention to - leaving the other participants wondering just how much I know and how I know it. Coupled with a pretty-good deductive ability, I can mischievously mystify plenty of folk. I also finish other peoples sentences if they’re fumbling for a word sometimes, almost always with the word they were looking for. 😉 ---

In the spirit of this thread, then, wasn’t it you who ended up being one half (the Lightsabred half) of the modern day Supertwins? I can’t remember who the other half was, although I want to say it was Draelin. But I know exactly what you mean. I have this uncanny ability to wax knowledgeably on many subjects, even if I really don’t think I have any idea of what I’m talking about. The current project I’m heading is a great example. Came into this thing completely clueless 3 days ago; now I’m asking all the right questions, without even really knowing how I knew I wanted to ask them. (Wow, that sentence made my head hurt.) Oh, and I always confuse Gary Bussey and Nick Nolte, as well. ---

Correct, Draelin and I established that we’re two halves of the same person in the Brando-death thread, after I cracked a not-entirely respectful joke at the expense of the deceased, and she said she was thinking the exact same thing. From there it devolved into Wonder-Twin references and Star Wars innuendo. Yeah, Busey and Nolte are another easily confused pair. ---
