There are message boards with an option to give info on your gender. That can be useful because some people tend to react a bit “hostile” whenever you can’t guess their gender correctly when you reply to their posts. I was misled by the membername of Ilsa Lund and at first also for EddyTD (until I saw a picture with the horses… So also 3 cats ETD? We have more then one passion in common then). For the rest I think that I’m guessing right in most cases. Salaam. A ---

I’ve gotten so many wrong, I don’t know where to begin. I guess Gaudere was first. I thought Czarcasm (then Slythe) was a woman. I thought Tris was a female atheist. I don’t know, the list goes on and on. I bat about .100 on that for some reason. ---

I have a vague memory of someone here responding to me in a way that made it seem that they thought I was a male. I am not. An etymological study of my Member name, though difficult due to its obscurity, would make that apparent. Whew - that was enough pedantry for one day. ---

Chalk me up as another **Ilsa** and **Carmen** guy…although I learned their true genders some time ago… **ETF** also came as a surprise… The only doper whom I’m currently ambiguous about is **Otto** … I am leaning towards female for that one, but my memory could be mistaken…it does that from time to time… I don’t think anyone’s confused about _my_ gender… woohoo for gender=specific SN’s ---
