**Le Ministre de l’au-delà** was someone I went to art school with. We were good friends for a couple years but had lost track of each other. As it happened he told a story on the Board that sounded familiar and I checked with him, and it was him. ---

Kind of… I once opened a thread posted by **Oy!** asking for a bit of Portuguese translation help: [Can anyone translate English into Portugese?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=352390) She was asking for help translating a short note to accompany a gift for her housekeeper. When I saw the woman’s name (“Nair”, pronounced nyEER), and location (Trenton), I figured that the odds were pretty slim of having two Brazilian women with that name cleaning houses in Trenton – she is good family friend! I asked Nair about her friend ( **Oy!** ) and she had nothing but kind words to say about her. One of these days we still need to all get together for a Brazilian _churrasco_ (bar-b-cue). That was cool. ---

I used to work at the same place **AeroDave** works, but in a different building. I never did knowingly meet him. **FairyChatMom** and I were at Purdue University at the same time, but she was a senior and I was frosh, so we didn’t meet. Oddly enough, I’ll soon be moving to the same county where she now lives, and she likes the idea. I think she needs to have her head examined. 😉 😛 ---

**Mahna Manha** and I were best friends in high school. We lost touch for ten years, and then she joined the MMP, and we were chatting, and I had this _Twilight Zone_ feeling, and I asked her if she was [insert real name] and said I was [insert real name]. And she was and I was and I just went to a Christmas party at her house yesterday. 😃 It was weird. All of cyberspace, a board with thousands of members, and we reconnect.
