Reasons? Well… with so many I want to meet, I must have another list. Up to you to figure out which quality goes with whom, unless I specifically say so. 😉 Goofball humor and distraction: **Spoz** in particular (he always manages to cheer me up, after all 😃 ), **Snooooopy, Fionn, dantheman, Tuckerfan** … Personal advice, caring, and a listening ear: **Spoz, Ice Wolf, LeeJam, dantheman, lel, EddyTeddyFreddy, jackelope, Cerowyn, Why A Duck, Tuckerfan, Kal, Steve Wright, Snooooopy, Ryan\_Liam, Cruktar, erislover, JimSox5, JayLa** … For just being there when I needed a kind word or a friend: all the people listed above, to be sure 🙂 For giving me certain bits of info ( 😉 ): **Spoz, Cerowyn, lel, dantheman, Ryan\_Liam, Tuckerfan, jackelope** … Because I’ve always wanted to meet someone else who lives in the same general area I do: **Aslan of Narnia** … it’s true I may not understand you completely, but I’m trying! For making me laugh when I read their posts: **NoClueBoy, Lobsang, vanilla, Angua, EddyTeddyFreddy** … oh heck, everyone on this list has made me laugh at one time or another! For allowing me to learn something else about this world I’m surrounded by: **dropzone, Airman Doors, MsRobyn, Zenster, Siege, Quasimodem, Polycarp** … Okay, my cold-addled brain has done its best. Well, I’ve met **gobear, siege, Guinistasia, Johnathan Chance, RTFirefly, Polycarp, Airman Doors, Ms Robyn, Scuba Ben, iampunha and fizzestothetop** , and lots more at the most recent Maryland area Dope-A-Ween (I’ve singled these names out because they’re the ones that have already been mentioned), and each and every one of them is as severely cool as you are thinking that they are! I’m sure I’m going to leave out about 120 names here, but the Dopers I’d really love to meet that I haven’t yet are: **Qadgop the Mercotan** : for his sage, sound reasonable advice, and all-around coolness. **Quasimodem** : for being the best all-time cheerleader in the SDMB’s ongoing weight-loss thread. **Scylla** : for being funny enough to make me snort Diet Vanilla Coke out of my nose, and a conservative to boot! Honestly, I can think of very, very few Dopers that, given a chance to meet them, I would say “Nah, I think I’ll pass”. I love you guys! ---

See, the same thing always happens in these threads - some names just stick in your head better than others, you hit submit and then you think, “I’m gonna piss SOMEONE off…” I needed to add to my list anyway, because there were about a bazillion names I missed that I want to include. Every British Isle doper or doper that lives in a country that once had the British flag flown over it’s country. Dopers that live in the Northern Hemisphere & Southern Hemisphere. Dopers in the Subcontinent, Africa, Mid-East, Germany, Ireland, Canada and Asia Major, Asia Minor and the former USSR. Dopers that are Gay. Dopers that are Straight. Dopers that are Bi, Bi-Curious, Hermaphodites, Transvestites, Transgendered, Transmogrificated, or Transubstansiated. Cat Dopers. Dog Dopers. Even Trekkie/LoTR dopers though the lot of you need therapy Dopers that are Surly, Happy, Chipper, Drunk, Medicated, Poor, Rich, Middleclass, fat, think and somewhere in between. Even Dopers with Chicken pox, flat feet, halitosis and chronic rectal emissions. Did I miss anyone? ---

I’ve met **Horseflesh**. He is quite a character. And I love his kids. I’d like to meet all the teenage Dopers, but especially **Aslan of Narnia** because he’s my special buddy. Also **xgxlx** , even though he’s not a teenager anymore. ---

Perhaps with the ladies who have felines in their names: **EddyTeddyFreddy** , **CrazyCatLady** , **KrisferCat** , **OpalCat** - and those who share my love for cats, such as **Baker**.
