I guess I really am as boring as I think I am. It’s ironic, 'cause IRL, EVERYBODY wants to meet me! Yeah, that’s the ticket! Maybe I shouldn’t channel Jon Lovitz. :smack: I would like to meet **Fenris, Scylla, World Eater, Weird Dave, Diane, SPOOFE, eclucidator** , and a few others. I already met, **Coldie, Shayna, Spiny Norman,** , and **Deb2World** (Go Angels!!!). But I doubt they’d remember. ---

I’ve only met one doper that I know of. That’s **Violet** , whom I met in college xx years ago. I should add here that she’s waaay younger than I am. I started college late. We talk via email from time to time, but haven’t had the opportunity to meet since college. Dopers I haven’t met but would like to are quite a few. A short list would include **Scylla, Fenris** and **Steve Wright** , who have made me laugh and **Polycarp, Zev Steinhardt** , and **Tomndebb** , who have made me think (not that those two sets’qualifications wouldn’t be reversible). ---

Well, no one confuses him for me (or is it me for him?), but for example, someone said that **matt** was getting married, when in actual fact, it’s _me_ who’s engaged and planning **My Big Fab Gay Wedding®**. ( **matt** was gracious and corrected the mistaken poster.) This happens every so often. And no, we don’t look anything alike. ---

Well, there are many people I’d like to meet, but I gotta tell you, the short list is really odd, if you know anything about the stuff I post and who I end up nose to nose with. **lissener** (!) **Diogenes the Cynic** **Reeder** (!!!) **TwistofFate** **sailor** **elucidator** **matt\_mcl** …and pretty much everyone else I end up fighting with here. I think I come off as particularly abrasive on the SDMB, but I’d like to have a rational debate in person with all of them so that they can see for themselves that I’m not unreasonable. As far as social interaction, I’d like to meet all of you. That would be cool. 🙂 ---

Hmm … let’s see … I’m a relative newbie, so my list will only get longer as time goes on, I’m sure. **Coldfire** because he’s cool. In fact all the mods and admins are cool. **Wang-Ka** , **lieu** , and **Rue DeDay** because they’re funny. **Quasimodem** , **GingerOfTheNorth** , **FairyChatMom** , **Shoshana** , **norinew** , and **JavaMaven1** (and anyone else I’ve forgotten) because they’ve been so supportive and helpful in the MPSIMS weight loss thread. **Qadgop the Mercotan** because he gives sage medical advice and is just cool. **Phlosphr** because he poses interesting questions and loves his wife to the tips of his toes. Or her toes. Take that however you want to. **SkipMagic** and **auntie em** because **SkipMagic** ’s amusing and **auntie em** is a sweetie. (She specifically invited me to a KC dopefest when I was an uber-newbie.) **tanookie** because I admire people who turn crappy lives into good lives. **Gazelle** because now she’s a tech writer too. (Congrats, **Gazelle**!) **CrazyCatLady** and anyone else who’s partial to kitties. **Badge** because a cop is a very useful friend to have. Kidding, only kidding. It’s because he’s an all-around swell guy. And **Fatwater Fewl** because he made me think I might just know a very little something about poetry. I’m a sucker for a good ego-stroking. Too many to list here. Most of the Aussies, ALL the New Zealanders, and a selection of others from across the water ( **Flammi, Zenster, Quasimodem** et al), decent folks who have the courage of their convictions, and who call a short-handled earth relocation device a spade. To have been mentioned three or four time in is thread is humbling, and just a bit silly. 🙂 Thanks guys. ---
