Or what? Most Dopers, and most posters in this thread are from the US, but nobody else acts like him/her to me. ---

Slight hijack, but when I open a small businees with two front doors, I’m painting a big ‘SLAVE DOOR’ on the locked one. I anticipate no problems. ---

I have worked at two smallish retail chains and both stores instructions to the opening manager was to have both doors open during business hours. In one case the store manual specifically noted that it was a negative experience for customers to reach for a door and find it locked, and the opening manager could be written up for leaving a door locked during business hours. This retail chain is a high end kitchen gadget place with years of retail experience. I won’t name the store but their initials are WS. ---
