I was wondering why there are two slightly different columns about the tides and the moon:

[Why are there two high tides a day when the moon is only overhead once a day?](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a881216.html)
[Why are there high tides twice a day when the earth rotates beneath the moon only once a day?](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a5_199.html)

It’s essentially the same column (same question from the same person), but one has been slightly updated. The other should probably be disappeared.
