Perhaps the English phrase “Roman holiday” would apply - enjoyment derived from anticipation of witnessing a debauched and degrading spectacle. 😉 ---

Yes, whenever onlookers have a reaction to a story about a 16-year-old who is apparently being pushed by her parents into behaving like a 45-year-old hooker, it must be jealousy instead of disgust, or confusion, or a general sense of “wtf.” No one can ever have any reaction to a female without that reaction being based on jealousy. :rolleyes: ---

I don’t live his life. And… you would be wrong to assume in the way you’ve assumed. The local supermarket I attend is one which I’ve attended now for 16 years or more. Some of the staff who have worked there that long are like friends now who I often buy coffees for if I’m getting a coffee myself. Some of the staff are middle aged too, and they also like to engage me in laughter and a chat. Most importantly, some of the younger staff are males who are at university, juts making ends meet. Some of the younger females who engage me in a chat or a laugh are also at university, and very few that I talk to are at high school. I take an interest in these folks, of all ages, because I take an interest in people in general. I ask about their marks, how their subjects are coming along at uni, how are their kids, etc etc etc. And they, in then, show an interest in my daughter, who is 9 years old. Occasionally, one of the younger folks, maybe 18 or 19 will be on the right wave length and they’ll see me joking and chatting with most of their staff and they too will do the same. If it’s a female, it’s flattering, but that’s where it starts and thats where it ends. ---

I’m looking at a lot of the posts in this thread, and I’m telling ya… I’m seeing some full on bitchy, judgemental comments. As I said earlier, even if the young lady is a kook, I wish her happiness. Why should she be exempt from such a sentiment? She’s never done anything wrong to me at all, and to any of you either. And from what I can tell, apart from being in the spotlight, it seems she’s never done anything wrong to anyone. I stand by my word… jealousy. ---

But I agree, perhaps “Roman Holiday” is more appropriate but I’m unconvinced that jealousness of her instant fame is not also a contributing factor. ---
