Look, I was right with you until I started to unbuckle my belt. See, I like belts. Without pants, where whould I put my belt? I got lotsa belts. Dad use to give me a belt every day… And not to be a wet blanket, but I’m detecting all manner of logistical problems which need addressing before the Mandate for a Total Lack of Pants can be implemented. First and formosa – without pants, where will pockets (and all the necessary & important acoutrements carried therein) be located? Possible solution: a fabric pouch containing numerous pockets, suitable for said acoutrements to become hopelessly lost in. Pouch could be sort of in the shape of a book. Yes! There you go! A book of pockets! Call it a pocketboo-… Wait… No. no. Scratch all that. We try to implement THAT particular change and we’ll have a whole 'nother revolution on our hands… [sub]note to Mr. **Y. A. Duck** : In a recent sampling of, um, one person, 100% of those polled preferred the look of boxer briefs among people in a clothed but still pantsless state.[/sub] ---

The only real reason to have pants is so you can have pockets. I love pockets. Does anyone make a hat with pockets? 'course that _would_ make it harder to jingle your change. Umm… what was the question again? Oh yeah, pants. I’ll give 'em up if I get to wear my toolbelt everywhere instead. I look damn fine in a kilt, unfortunately I have been discriminated against at the workplace because of my kilt wearing. But I agree with the OP, pants can suck it. Balls out for life! ---

I recall Dilbert perfecting a pocket that could be velcroed to a chest (the better to put pens in it while taking a shower, of course)… So maybe we could use that technology and velcro pockets to our hips. That would ROCK! Alternatively, you could put yer crap in shirt pockets. Hey, this just might mean the we dorks, nerds, and dweebs will become fashionable! All will gravel at our feet! We’ll begin trends! We’ll kick off fads! Fashion designers will come to us for ideas! And we’ll scoff! We’ll laugh! We’ll rule the world! ---
