All apologies to **Nymysys** for the thread title, but it’s fitting. Our SDMB President, **dpr** himself, was in my dream last night! I shall share this mundane, pointlessness with the Teeming Millions… No, it wasn’t one of _those_ dreams. From what I remember, dpr was going to Chicago to visit Nym. For some reason, he had to stay with me, at my parents house in Rhode Island, for 4 days before he could go to Chicago. My mom in the dream (she didn’t resemble my real mom at all) insisted that while he was staying with us, he go to school with me. I tried to take him to school with me, but I couldn’t get him into classes because he didn’t have a pass! I kept telling people “He’s from Australia!” like that made it ok. Kind of funny, seeing as how I’ve been out of high school for 7 years now. I don’t remember that many details… dpr, you didn’t really look like you do in the pics I’ve seen of you, and you were wearing these green jogging/warmup pants, with one leg up, kind of gangster style. Strangely, it worked on you–my dream dpr was quite dashing! You were also carrying a sack, not sure what was in it, but it was just a shapeless greyish sack that you were holding in the one “scene” I can conjure up. One thing I recall thinking through the whole dream was “The poor guy is on his way to meet his true love for the first time, and he’s stuck here with me for 4 days!” I also remember that in the dream I was very upset about something going on in my life, and he made me feel like everything was going to be ok. I woke up feeling very reassured. So, dpr, whatever vibes you’re sending my way, keep 'em up, my friend. ---

MMmmmmmmmmmmmmm…dpr dreams… :blink: Sorry, got stuck in the Pretty Place for a minute. Anyway, no apologies needed, Rasa. I’d share some of _my_ dreams of dpr, but…well, y’know. Maybe this isn’t the proper forum. And as an aside, I’m pretty sure dpr would be glad to dally with you for four days anytime. I would appreciate getting him first, though. I’m a bit…anxious these days. 😃 ---

Heh, I know, Nym… that’s exactly what was going through my mind in the dream; I felt bad that he had to stay with me for 4 whole days before getting to Chicago! I never did ascertain why, though, and it nagged me through the whole dream. Felt bad keeping the poor guy from his sworn mission! ---

_blush_ Actually I enjoy appearing in people’s dreams. You get to do whatever you want and they end up blaming their own subconscious. Upon further rememberance, I realized the green pants that dpr was wearing are a pair of pants that I own. Well, they were the same kind of pants. Not that dpr was in my pants. Um. You know what I mean. And I keep seeing this truck every morning on my way to work that says DPR Construction.
