Whatever happened to Dr. George Fishbeck, the bow-tie wearing weather man on L.A.'s ABC affiliate for so many years? ‘Dr. George’ brought genuine _enthusiasm_ to the weather reports. He was great. Last I heard he’d retired to Arizona; but I can’t seem to find a bio online. How old is he? Is he still alive?

I can find a 2002 story, which I unfortunately can’t read in it’s entirety, about a “George Fishbeck” who was a ‘docent’ at the L.A.Zoo. Don’t know if that was the guy or not.

According to [this](http://www.unmalumni.com/mirage/spring2005/weather_print.htm) it’s him. I miss Dr. George’s weather spots!
