Well, I came in here all prepared to issue a follow-up flame, but I see now it won’t be necessary. You misdiagnosed Opal, perhaps I misdiagnosed you. So, as the OP, I accept your apology. Now, what say we let this thread sink down into the murk, put the rather nasty events of this diurnal rotation behind us, and stop fighting each other and start fighting the real enemy, Ignorance. It is, after all, taking longer than we thought. You apparently still believe those comments would have been justified had OpalCat “merely” been clinically depressed. That is cruel. No. suzeanne, who for all I know, knows exactly as much about Opalcat as I do. I don’t follow the world of the TMHP to know everyone’s medical problems. She can post that Dr.Fidelius is suffering from hemmorhoids and I should believe that, I suppose? I was basing my comments to Opalcat soley on her postings and spamming. After several posters informed me that she’s bipolar I got the message, you ass. 2. I do not care if anything I say makes a whit of difference to you or is the least bit inexcusable to you. Do you understand this? 3. I have exactly the same moral authority to vent as Opalcat does. Just because I don’t spew _my_ guts out on this MB doesn’t mean that I live in a Land of Balloons and Rainbows. I just want this to go away. Sake apologized. As mentioned before, many people would just slink away and vanish without having the guts to apologize. But he apologized. To me, that means something. Does it make all the stress and negativity generated here evaporate suddenly? No, but it’s a good start. ---

My interractions with this Sake person have been thankfully few. The first impression he made was ugly enough that I put him immediately on the Conventry List (where he will ever remain). He proves himself again and again to be cold, aggressive, angry, petulant, whiney, and self-important. Apology or no, he has no soul and simply isn’t worthy to lick Opal’s boots. (And just for the record, I _know_ this 'cause I’ve met the woman.) The saddest thing is, someone with such a shrivled selfish heart was able to _intentionally_ do such damage to someone with such a warm giving heart… Unfortunately, I’ve no doubt he’s deriving great pleasure from this fact. Wow. I wasn’t here for Melingate. I have only what little people have seen fit to share about it. But it seems to me like others are loath to let go of what happened. Melin seems to have dropped the issue. She mentioned it in passing when explaining why Sue was, in her view, entitled to an apology. Otherwise others have brought it up. Does that include you, Nick? I’m not sure which “Melingate” you’re referring to, Poly, nor am I sure how you are reading my views. I was pointing out another instance in what I consider to be a _syndrome_ with some people here. It primarily consists of the ongoing inability to resist indulging in the dubious art of righteous indignation. ---
