Heh. My stated excuse is that I’m going to talk to “early-adopters” of technology outside the confines of a technology conference. They’ll be more likely to tell me the truth about how they feel about cable-modems, hand-helds, etc. And why don’t we hold the dopefest in a bar at the Marriott? That way fewer people have to drive or taxi, and those who do will be coming to a central, well-known location. ---

Of course not **whiterabbit** Atlanta is proud of what made it famous so everything’s named after after peaches and gets burned down every so often. Anyway, I am planning to enter a few Magic sealed deck tournaments but they are all throughout the day. Set a time and place for a get together and I’ll be sure I am free. ---

Don’t leave me out! I can’t come to the Con but I’d love to get together with all of you for dinner, drinks, whatever!!! There are a ton of great restraunts here, many in walking distance of the hotels. How about Sat or Sun night? ---

Walking distance?! Are you insane? We don’t want to leave the hotels! **manhattan** [sub]notice the correct spelling[/sub] has suggested we meet in one of the hotel bars. I admit drinking with the Kingons and Stormtroopers has a certain appeal. 🙂 But I’m not sure about the crowds. What’s really close to the Hyatt and the Marriott since us out of towners don’t want to drive? ---

I’ve only been to those for lunch, so I don’t know what an evening crowd is like, though I assume they’re open in the evening. _I’ll_ be in Florida. I think there’s a **Trader Vic’s** close to the con hotels. I think it would be fun to eat there, just because I never have. Of course, Atlanta’s **Hard Rock Cafe** and **Planet Hollywood** are both near the con hotels, but we hate them. It’s a shame the Dunk’n’Dine that used to be right there has been replaced by a parking lot. Y’all need to remind me to tell you the story of the pimp and the prostitute at the Dunk’n’Dine while we’re together. ---
