Yes we do. **Stranger** ’s literary style is indeed eloquent, and serves as a reminder to not get on his bad side! 😁 My interactions with **DrDeth** have been minimal in recent years, but his propensity to intentionally mangle English spelling is annoying and his repetitive and bogus arguments against gun control are tiresome and infuriating. It’s the particular combination of parachuting into a thread, unasked, with a “well, actually, you’re wrong” opinion which appears to be (a) itself wrong, and (b) sourced from a 10-second Google search, and (c) a hill he’s ready to die on, even though it’s the wrong hill, and unrelated to the thread at hand. He’s a goober who appears to think that poorly-sourced sites make him into such a formidable genius that the rest of us are on the edge of our seats waiting to see what he’ll pull off Google next. But more than anything he appears to be consitutionally unable to listen, he’s just a one-way bullhorn. ---

I couldn’t say this of myself, but I might suppose that the thing about being smarter (and, by connection, more intellectually ethical than, sadly, too many others) is the point of choice where you either fight everything every time, or shrug and not give a fuck. After a long life viewing the passing parade, it’s not necessary to react to every elephant turd as it’s dropped. ---
