Good suggestions all. I’d like built in speakers in the bathroom with a remote control repeater for the stereo system. I’ve been in a hotel suite that had a TV in the bathroom but that’s a bit too much decadance. ---

The heated toilet is close to mine, and I’ll take that too. I’d like heated floors. Particularly wood floors in some areas and tile floors in the bathrooms and kitchen. No more cold feet. For outside, I’d like a heated driveway and sidewalks. Just enough to melt the falling snow. No shoveling of plowing. You can tell I don’t live in Florida. I guess heat is my greatest luxury. The home theatre and built in speakers sound pretty cool too. MtnMan ---

A spiral staircase - one that makes a complete circle. Nothing else matters. I told my husband that even if it goes nowhere, our house will have a spiral staircase. Pardon my ignorance, but what on earth is a pot rack? ---

Need high ceilings for it not commonly found in new construction kitchens, which usually have low ceilings and hideous flush mounted fluorescent lighting. ---

1. Like Coldfire, I’ll have to have a music room (christened “Hall of the Mountain King” of course). 2. A large smoking room with a walk in humidor, a bar, and a pool table. 3. A **HUGE** master bedroom. The place will be built of stone (not brick), and be as far out in the woods as possible. ---

Money no Object? Whaaa haa haaa. I huge house built on an island in the center of a small bay by the river. A HUGE formal garden with mazes, and russian rock gardens. (just like Cathrines palace) Front gate coming across the bridge powered to open when my car drives up. (prox reader in vehicle) Huge walls I can walk around and view the peasants. The house itself would be inspired by the russian orthodox churches. Big onion domes the works. HUGE library, awsome kitchen, with three levels plus a basement. All hardwood floors similar to Cat’s palace (cathrine the great again) except bathroom and kitchen where I would use Italian marble. huh, maybe I have thought this out to much. guess I shall have to improvise with my littel ol’ house I already have. Oooh. Love the topic. I’ve thought a bout this for HOURS before. My house is going to be built in the castle style. It will have ramparts and walkways and towers. One tower will be higher than the rest. No one will be able to figure out how to get to it. That is because you will have to use the secret passages. Every room will be connected by the normal passages, and by the secret hidden passages. In the tower, there will be a giant switchboard, overlaid by a blueprint of the house. Every light in the house will be controlled by this switchboard, as well as doors, walls, electronics, sound systems, and doorbells. This house will have an inside pool, with a tunnel in side of the pool itself that leads to a secret underground lair. This underground lair will also be accessible through the secret passageways. This lair will house the rooms required for my fraternity’s ritual. I would love to embellish you, but unfortunately, no one here is in my fraternity. My house will be at least three stories, and will use circular and spiral staircases, along with catwalks above the taller rooms, and you will be able to access the ramparts that encircle the building. The second floor will open to a large courtyard in the middle of the building, with another enclosed area in the middle of this. This middle area will be accessible from the first floor by spiral staircase, the second floor from the courtyard, and the third floor by walkways leading in from the ramparts. I will live on a large hill, with a winding road leading up to my home. The road will have long, steep edges. Quite trecherous. I will use dumbwaiters, also. Many of my ideas have already been mentioned here: library, home theatre, indoor pool with sauna and hot tub, game room with bar, monster kitchen with an island and adjacent pantry, luxury bathroom, greenhouse, complete hobby shop, office, two story porch (one open, one enclosed), topiary maze, etc. I’d also want a monsterous grand living room. More like a Great Hall. Huge floor size with at least a twenty foot ceiling. Giant fireplace you could roast an ox in. A railed balcony around the walls so I could look down upon it. Maybe even a balcony bridge going across the middle of the room. On a somewhat less grand note, here’s something I’d want in my home that I don’t know why isn’t already done. I’d want water spouts, like the ones on public drinking fountains, on all my sinks. It’s so annoying to have to use a glass everytime I just want a drink of water. And think how convenient it’d be in the bathroom when you’re brushing your teeth. ---

## Actually Padeye, pot-racks are starting to be a common addition to new kitchens. Ya know, Little Nemo, that’s a really good idea. We need to get the bathroom renovated at some point, and I will definitely see about getting a water fountain installed. I would really like to have an “outdoor room” with beautiful plants growing all around and on a trellis overhead. It would be nice and shady for me, but there would be enough sun for the plants. I would have a chaise lounge and I would be able to study outside all day. ---

Ok…we need to add to the list a “Pimp Room”, completely done up in Leopard spots, bean bags, a sound system, and a bed(leopard spotted bedware). It’d have to be fit for a porno filming… And my only other wish would be for a fully functional, professional microbrewery. Damn, you guys must be related to me somehow! Secret room/hallway/doors: Check. Big ass tub: Check Indoor pool: check Castle motif: Check. Home entertainment system: Check. Pool room: check. Batpoles: You KNOW it! Other things I’d like: A hot tub, an arcade room, turreted taser systems for home defense and entertainment ;), a solarium with a big ass telescope, and fianlly, the best addition I can think of: A full staff of robot servents. * * * You say “cheesy” like that’s a **BAD** thing. ---

I want a 3-story+ house with a pool on the bootom floor and a slide that starts on the top floor, passes through all the floors and ends up at the pool. You could slide past the kitchen and grab a piece of celery on your way down!! I think it would also be fun to have a room that _is_ a bed. You would open the door and the mattress would take up the whole space, wall-to-wall. You could have tons of pillows thrown in there. Above this bed would be a skylight. I am NOT gloating. I live in my dream house. Pool with separate hot tub, bar and bathroom outside, billiards room (never used) with church pews for seating (pretty cool), media room, and its on the eighteenth fairway of a private course. The only thing I would add is if I could make it a self-cleaning house, kinda like those ovens. Just lock the door, come back in a few hours and its clean.
