# Dreamfall: The Longest Journey

I just finished this up. The graphics were beautiful, storyline engaging, and the game play fun. It was more like an interactive animated movie than a game, because the game was ridiculously easy, but I felt that helped it rather than hurt it. I kept on just wanting to get through with the puzzle to find out what happens next. I played it straight for the last few hours, and it was coming to a huge climax, and then… nothing. It’s as though the version of the game I got was missing the last 1/3 of the story.

There better be a sequel (threequel I guess).

I liked it a lot, much better than Indigo Prophecy. It wasn’t perfect and has some flaws, but it was still good.  
There is a sequel planned.

The sequel was just [announced](http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=12941) a little while ago! It’s supposedly going to be episodic, while causes me to :dubious: a little, since the whole episodic thing seems to have been just a buzzword at this stage, with all of one successful effort (see [here](http://www.telltalegames.com/samandmax) ).

I remember reading a while ago, after Dreamfall’s release, that Ragnar Tørnquist responded to criticisms of the game’s… abrupt ending that he _would_ finish the story for the fans, even if the final chapter(s?) ended up having to be published in plain text or comic format.
