And, by the by: college students _grow up_. When I first came here 9 years ago, sure, I was a student. I was very, very exempt from taxes because I simply couldn’t make that much working part time. But I’ve been out of school for 6 years now, making a living wage and most certainly _not_ exempt from taxes any more. I pay my fair share. Someone you may have thought of as a college student in the past may well no longer be; hell, in the time you and I have been here, some posters could have graduated high school _and_ college _and_ started a career! ---
