"Drill Baby Drill"ers: I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

Ummm, that’s exactly the problem. No one’s funding the national debt. If you (and I) indeed were, to the same extent as during the Clinton years, we wouldn’t have nearly the same amount of debt.

But that’s okay i guess because at least the economy’s good, right? All that capital we reinvested sure made the economy strong.

I guess it will, but I wonder what will be the reality behind the self-reporting. I mean to me, there are so many college students here, sometimes it seems like they almost make up the majority.

Your whole post cracks me up  If I said I thought solar was a good idea; electric motors with hybrid fuel sources and not attached to a bunch of bling-ass bullshit drivin’ the price sky high; smart biofuels; natural gas and more- any overlap with the Una Plan for Renewable, Sustainable Energy Independence and Security (UPRSEIS)?

Yes, and we all know how well personal perception actually correlates with reality.

According to the last poll on the subject, our average age was 35. And, honestly, I feel the place skews more to older people, or at least young people that are capital L Liberal but lowercase c conservative.

And, by the by: college students grow up. When I first came here 9 years ago, sure, I was a student. I was very, very exempt from taxes because I simply couldn’t make that much working part time.

But I’ve been out of school for 6 years now, making a living wage and most certainly not exempt from taxes any more. I pay my fair share. Someone you may have thought of as a college student in the past may well no longer be; hell, in the time you and I have been here, some posters could have graduated high school and college and started a career!

Dude, you totally stole my prog rock group’s new concept album title!!!
Now we have to go back to “Uncooked Bratwurst at the Gold Elves’ Inn”.
