Gotta agree with the other folks. In your budget, you can’t really get a quality cordless drill, but you can get a very nice corded one, so get the corded one.
One of these days when you have a couple of hundred bucks lying around with nothing to do, buy a nice cordless drill.
In my basement I have everything from a Delta contractor’s table saw to a pair of Porter Cable nailers (perfect for trim), and a few other fancy tools in between. I regularly tell my wife that the single best tool investment I ever made was the DeWalt 12v drill – You don’t know how convenient a cordless drill is until you try one.
I have never felt underpowered. No problem about it being out of juice either: it comes with two batteries, and it takes about an hour to charge one if you let it go dry. Usually I throw a battery on the charger while I use whatever remaining juice I found in the other battery to get the job started. By the time that one peters out, the first one is all ready to go.
Good luck anyway. Get the corded one for now, it’ll be a great tool.
