# Drinking Bleach \[Need Answer Now\]

How does drinking bleach blind you? What is the mechanism? I know that eyeballs need lots of water … so I’m assuming somehow the liquids in the stomach end up in the liquid that goes to the eyeball … yeah … but how exactly do the mechanisms work?

I suspect you have sodium hypochlorite confused with methanol.

But if you need an answer now, you should call a local poison hotline.
