A sorta-kinda drive-thru scene: In _Groundhog Day_, Bill Murray’s character leads cops on a high speed wild chase that ends up with his car flipped and the cops aiming their guns at him. He rolls down his window and places a to-go order, and the guy in the car with him says “And some flapjacks!”

I’ve heard that story told as “a true story” that happened to various people, including famous lush Paul Lynde, but no idea of the truth value.

“Too early for flapjacks?”

> _The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia_ had a funny scene with Sue Bob going through a Taco Bell drivethrough:
>
> Sue Bob: Yeah, gimme a quesadilla, the steak and cheese fajita only, with cheese and steak only…
> Taco Bell: We don’t have fajitas
> Sue Bob: You don’t have fiestas?
> Taco Bell: I’m sorry, could you repeat that?
> Sue Bob: Why’s it on your sign if you don’t have it?

Okay, now I **have** to see that film!

As far as TV shows, there’s also the Simpsons. Who Shot Mr. Burns Pt. 2, where Wiggum has to stop at the drive-through while taking Homer to jail. And before that, “Sir, it’s a felony to tease the order box…”

> _Clerks 2_ - I don’t remember it well enough to know for certain if there are any drive-through-specific scenes, but it takes place at a fast food restaurant that definitely has a drive-through.

I’m pretty sure that Dante proposes at the end of the movie through the drive-thru window.

> Lethal Weapon 2 - more the aftermath of going through the drive-thru than a scene taking place at one (although it does start there),

This was going to be my contribution. When Joe Pesci says, “They _always_ fuck you at the drive-thru!”

Mary-Kate and Ashley did a film in 2002 named Getting There that had a drive through scene in it. 🙂 🙂 🙂

God bless you and them always!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Holly (a day one fan of them)
