I think you are right that Miller did the original (or at least most famous) version. IIRC, REM also did a version, and I would not be surprised if there are others who have recorded it as well. Possibly including Elvis.

My girl just _loves_ that song.

Oddly enough while posting in another thread I came upon the VW commercials CD called “Street Mix Vol 1” … [find it here](http://www.vw.com/radio/shop.htm)
