Almost like he took it as a challenge to take on Mister Rogers. And posting things because you’re spoiling for a fight and not because you really mean them, is somewhat despicable behavior.

Hey guys guys guys! I just got a double secret psychic email from **drmark2000**. He said his 20,000 magnum opus has already been written and actually posted to the Dope. It is hidden in what he has posted so far. You just have to squirrel it out from the text of every second post written on Wednesdays before 12 PM Mountain time. It’s all there!
Let me know when you get the first 5,000 words de-ciphered. My breath is bated.

I’ll admit to being curious about this board shattering post he was going to unleash upon us, but it likely would’ve been disappointing. Maybe the next board shattering poster with the kung fu intellect will last longer.

Wow, I can’t believe it took that long.
But looking at his Mr. Rogers thread, damn. Just, damn. His other threads kind of made a little sense if you squinted hard enough, but here it was just…I can only describe it as “Bwha?” I mean, you might as well be pitting Jesus for possibly harboring impure thoughts at one time or another. I mean, after all, he was just this guy, y’know?
I have to say, I am a bit sad, I was looking forward to his 20K+ word pièce de résistance (come on, ‘magnum opus’ was getting a little trite, don’t you think?).

When the SDMB banned **SnakeSpirit** , it was made clear that a certain type of outsider would not be tolerated on the board, and any opportunity within the rules would be taken advantage of to ban same.
With the banning of **drmark2000** , the SDMB has gone one suicidal step further and decided that, rules and principles be damned, that this variety of outsider will be banned no matter what.
Moderation here has slid into immature, arbitrary chaos. And, as will happen to any message board without extremely just, mature, and evenhanded moderation, the hardened core of invalidators is in a ruling position.
I guarantee you that the Reader will not put up with this mess for more than 1 year further. This is the last re-up, people. And it’s sad–this board could have gotten better and better. But bad leadership (really sad, limited-minded, fuckin’ thanks for ruining the board, idiots-kind of leadership) has fucked it.
Anyhow, see you in GQ and Cafe from time to time as this old dog’s last year expires.

I do have to admit paroxysms of lurid fascination with Teh Crazy. It does provide gems like “I burning your dog!!!11!1”, on occasion.
But, my mother (in her capacity as a psych n.p., as opposed to, say, her capacity as my mother) has found this out through years of clincal experience: Often insane people become a terrible _bore_ after a while. Their rants can be downright fascinating at first, but they tend to fixate, and it gets real tedious, real fast.
A favorite crazy horse to beat around here seems to be monogamy. Yawn.

I took the point to be that the SDMB wouldn’t be around to re-subscribe to next year, not that **Aeschines** won’t re-up.
The SDMB not being here next year would be sad. **Aeschines** not being here next year? That’s a matter of opinion apparently.
