Even more cowardly excuses. Pick a reliable third party and each bettor can mail him $15 or $75 cash, to be merged and forwarded to the winner.
Of course, given your record of general sliminess and evasion, I can’t imagine why anyone here would trust _you_. I’d want the third party to confirm receipt of your $15 before I’d consider sending my $90 (I stated six-to-one, after all).

Ummmmm…I think it is safe to say that DrMark2000 is laughing his ass off on his pristine white shag rug (sorry- I picture him on a white pristine shag rug, so white pristine shag rug it be). I can see him giggling and rolling on the floor with tears of joy on his cheeks at all this attention. “Look at the pages they have devoted to me!” The guy had issues with his high and mighty attitude and all, but wtf, his banning gets this many pages? Wouldn’t it have been better to ignore his posts The guy was an attention starved liar passing himself off as a Phd (which I also have 0 respect for). BUT, his marriage post hasn’t bothered me (a bit weak, but ok for some conversation). I don’t get it.

Everywhere except here in the Pit, such language will get you a serious smackdown from the Mods.
Here in the Pit, things are, well, different. There is a subtle distinction between the language else where on the SDMB and the Pit. Rather than saying

Actually, aside from the title, very little of this thread has been “devoted” to it. Mostly it has been the usual combination of bad jokes and scathing comments addressed to other posters. The banning was simply an opportunity to get together and do what dopers typically do. If it was hoping for some serious consideration of its presence or absence, it is probably gnashing its teeth in frustration that so few people are really all that concerned about it. It never made a serious contribution to the SDMB–not even by being chucked out.

For years, membership was free. The issue of pay-to-post, and the benefits of membership remain sore spots for many people. Besides that, certain actions by **Tubadiva** \* have created something of a credibility gap. **Catsix** is known as something of a harpy (to put it politely) on the boards. I was surprised that after having a nice chat with a friendly, chipper woman at Gettysdope, to learn she was **Catsix**. Upon seeing my reaction, she said “You were expecting horns, right?”. Once you see that side of her, it’s clear she is simply some one who argues passionately and does not back down. But, if you judged her just by her posts in the Pit, you would think she was some kind of fire-breathing witch.
- I don’t know if we’re allowed to discuss or link to those anymore. I believe I am permitted to direct you to the SDMB LiveJournal community. The whole thing was discussed there and is still in the archives.
