Aren’t you one of those nutty spiritualists the board becomes infested with occasionally? Yawn. I’ve seen 'em come and I’ve seen 'em go, and I’ve learned this: if you leave, or **SnakeSpirit** leaves, or **drmark2000** leaves, or **Ogre** leaves, or even if **Satan** or **Lib** leaves, the board is not going to collapse. In fact, in the greater scheme of things, nobody is even going to give very much of a fuck.

Was he the guy who would go on about his potent psychic abilities in combat? Creepy. I seem to remember him claiming he sussed out a path through a mindfield using only his great powers of extra-perception. I wanted to ask him if we could make another minefield and watch him do it again, but figured I’d run afoul of da roolz.

Actually (you’re going to love this) not just one minefield, but, after his ability manifested, **all** minefields. Here comes the juicy part. In a thread unrelated to ESP or minefields (IIRC) he revealed that he had been injured in Vietnam. How, you might ask? I’ll tell ya. His dick was blown off by a mine.

You just can’t make this shit up, can you? I mean, really, is there a work of fiction out there that can top it? The guy who claims he’s the mightiest psychic sapper got his fucking (or not, as the case may be) _member_ blown off by a mine. I _did not_ know that. **Guin** , I do not recall any kind of a wishy-washy recantation, but I must confess my recall is suspect at times. I do remember that I was engaged in a bit of give and take about this issue when he was banned, therefore stalling the argument before it reached a conclusion.

GIGO: old computer and communication term for _Garbage In, Garbage out_. IOW if the information a poster has is garbage, he will post the same, I’m here just to bust them.

But I’m seriously thinking on changing my user name, too many don’t get the reference and I already noticed a couple of new users with very similar names. Imitation is a form of flattery, but in a board that can get very combative, it is imitation that could lead to misunderstandings.

BTW, is defending two people really equivalent to having assholes as my heroes? I never defended **mswas** because the dude got kind of racist and nasty, and I haven’t defended all the various hateful trolls and socks that get banned all the time.

I learn a lot from this board. From reading posts about things I may have never thought of, to asking direct questions.
I have yet to find another place where I can come and ask an HONEST question about ANYTHING and get a reliable answer, sometimes within minutes.
Trolls can be entertaining, but drag down the purpose of the SDMB. Enough of them would destroy the board.
I believe the Mods made the correct decision.
