I wonder how many of these sightings are due to morans blowing the dust off their old Christmas presents and wanting to get in on the crazy. Gotta laugh at all the eye witnesses who think they can estimate a drone’s size or speed when there nothing around to compare it to. ---

Our local FB group has a series of posts like “see! they’re real!” as they upload grainy phone footage of the flight path to Logan Airport. People are just so fucking stupid. ---

The FAA also temporarily banned most drone flights for a month. Any hobbyist who had their drone out now cannot legally fly it in those areas. Whether to troll or to try to see what was going on some of the _real_ sightings were hobbyist drones. ---

And here I was just starting to enjoy the spate of posts to our local subreddit of people saying they live near the airport and took a blurry picture of an unidentified object with red and green flashing lights on it that DEFINITELY isn’t the Alaska Airlines flight from Missoula coming in for a landing. ---
