This is very clever dissimulation, a lie that succeeds because it tells part of the truth. Leavitt does not even mention the incontrovertible fact that most of the objects filmed during this recent ‘flap’ (probably more than 95% of them) were not drones at all, but were misidentified commercial aircraft flying into and out of the local airports. By choosing not to mention the misidentifications, she is validating all the members of the public who went out and filmed airliners for several nights running. I suspect this might be because the plane-filmers are the voter base for her party. ---
