I have been listening to a few of their songs, and I hafta say, I love 'em! Irish Oi punk, stripped down and harsh. Testosterone-laden, with ballads pitched to grinding chords and bagpipes playing to the chant of “Oi! Oi! Oi!”. They are what I look at as a model of the future of rock. Charged, political, macho, raw. Likely they will remain underground, as the public cannot disassociate “skinhead” with “Nazi”. Oh well, more for me to listen to! ---

I looooooooove the Murphys! “Skinhead On the MTA” is one of my favorite songs to drive to. Unfortunately, the CD I had by them was stolen from my car not too long ago. A good excuse to get more of their stuff, I suppose… ---

I like the Murphys as well. My like for them cultivated my love for Flogging Molly. ---
