# Dropped multiquotes?

A couple of times recently (in a thread this morning and in at least one thread last week, IIRC on Friday), I’ve had problems getting multiquote to work properly. One or more posts that I’ve selected don’t appear in the text for me to reply to. I was definitely selecting the posts–when I first noticed the problem, I went back and re-selected the posts several times, only to have one or more posts missing every time I got back to the reply page.
Is this a problem anyone else has been noticing, or something that’s happened before or that the board staff is aware of?
I’ve only seen it happen at work (not that I post from home much at all), so the specs are:
OS: Windows XP Professional
Browser: IE 7

It’s happened to me as well. I’m still new to this multiquoting thing, so I assumed I was making an error somewhere.
OS: MW Windows XP Professional Ver 2002 SP3
Browser: IE 7.0

I believe **TubaDiva** recently turned on a cap on multiquoting, so if you’re multiquoting more than I think 5 posts then the system may just automatically drop all but five of them. If you’re not, then that’s probably not it.

Ugh, is there any way we can turn that off? Or at least make it so that it’s obvious that any posts beyond five won’t get quoted?
I also didn’t see this change announced anywhere. Was there any discussion? I don’t remember seeing any threads in ATMB complaining about people replying to too many posts. And why is it a problem if I’m replying to more than five posts at a time?

I don’t know if it was discussed anywhere – here are the posts I remember on the topic:
