I’ve shared this before, but I believe ‘Green Acres’ is most remarkable for the prominent American celebrity it first gave exposure to. Mr. Haney. He was always scheming, conned a fortune from the wealthy Oliver W. Douglas, and eventually stole Douglas’ blonde eastern European wife. He made his way to New York, got a new wardrobe, took elocution lessons, and changed his name to… Donald Trump ---

Mr.Haney was MUCH more charming than Donald Trump – why, if he was trying to fit in among Eastern bluebloods, would he adopt such a scumbag personality?
