Hi friends, Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s day, and I know many of you will be going out to celebrate and drink. If you’re drinking alcohol, **please** don’t get behind the wheel of a car. Either have a designated driver, or call a cab. Also, don’t let your friends try to kid you that they “can hold their liquor” and are fine to drive home. Take their keys away! I enjoy St. Pat’s but I can’t stand to read the newspaper the next day with all the traffic fatalities listed from the night before. Thanks for listening, folks. A 23-year old cousin-in-law of mine was killed last weekend by a drunk driver running a stoplight. She was in law school, her wedding was planned for this June. Her father died a few years ago of cancer, and the family is devastated. I add my plea to the others above. Remember, if you’re drunk and are thinking about getting behind the wheel, it’s not just YOU that’s in peril. It’s the innocent folks around you. ---

(I’ve done without nine teeth and a good amount of upper-jawbone for most of my life because of s\_\_\_\_s like you. Countless surgeries later and I almost look normal…) ---

CKDext, sorry about your cousin in-law. Someone at my office brought in creme de menthe cake for St. Patrick’s day. I just had a piece and there must be alcohol in it the way I feel a little light headed now. Hopefully, the alcohol in the cake frosting isn’t too strong. Do you think I will be able to drive home safely in two hours? I don’t drink much, as you can tell. ---

Drunk driving isn’t all THAT bad…if you live in NYC or Jersey, you know that everybody drives like they’re drunk, even when they’re sober. In fact, the state of New Jersey would _prefer_ that you drive with a few beers in your stomach than without insurance. No insurance carries a 1-year driver’s license suspension, and DWI (or DUI or whatever you call it) only gets a 6-month suspension. ## Joe “found-out-the-hard-way” Cool All I wanted was a Pepsi!
