# DSL and receiving faxes

I would like to be able to receive faxes on my computer, but I have a DSL connection. Is there a way to do this?

I don’t want to buy a fax machine when Majestic goes live just so I can get the full experience, but then again, I don’t want to miss anything.

It is my understanding that you can still use the fax/modem on your computer with DSL. They will give you filters for your phone lines that will stip out the digital signal, allowing voice/fax/modem transmissions through as before. You will not be able to use your DSL modem to recieve faxes.

yes you can, i have done it w/ no reduction in connection speed.
