I read about this. What a weird event, but it makes sense. Now, because of the way New Years Day falls this year, I have a 4-day weekend: Friday through Monday. I wouldn’t be happy if that were shorted by a day just to sync my clock/date with Australia. ---

I see that all of the online clocks have been updated to recognise Samoa’s 24 hour leap forward. ---
